Jon..what is that noise? & Some pictures!

Last night the kids had to share a room again. This time they were sleeping in Jetts room. Jaiden in a pac and play and Jett in his bed. When Jon and I went to bed I kept hearing this noise every few seconds. I asked Jon, 'what is that noise?' He said, 'It's fine, just go to sleep.' I kept hearing it though so I told him to listen. He then says, 'it's Jett slamming his dresser drawers'. I thought to myself I doubt it, just didn't sound like something Jett would do. So I decided to go in the room to see what was going on....It was Jaiden slamming the dresser drawers and having the TIME OF HER LIFE! She thought she was so cool because she could reach the drawers standing in her pac and play(well moms pac and play that I am borrowing). So I moved her away from the dresser and Jett said, 'mom she can reach the blinds now'. Jett was right too! They had fun but we are all glad they don't have to share a room anymore!

I am still painting down the stairs...I physced myself out when I was on the Clark Griswold ladder. All I could replay in my head is the movie Christmas Vacation and Clark falling when he was hanging the Christmas lights. I had to balance it on a stair for awhile to reach to the top.....so I am taking a break from that mind game of a ladder for a bit. :) Jon actually said he would do the rest YAY!

Kitchen/living room

I know my couches aren't the cutest..but they were FREE!! Can't complain there! :)

Guest Bathroom..I love these colors! My little brother and his wife did these colors for their wedding(it was gorgeous). That's where I got the inspiration for this bathroom :)

Jetts room. He loves it! I love it too!

Whats left to do:
*rip out carpet and linoleum in master bed/bath
*tile the master bed/bath
*paint master bed/bath
*put Jaides room back together
*finish painting down the stairs
*rip out carpet and tile stairs
*paint laundry room
*put my 5 and 3/8Th's inch baseboards on(so excited about those)

That's about it really. Yay the list is dwindling and it feels like I have my house back. I am so thankful to have such a nice home! When they were tiling the kitchen/living room we were pretty much bound to my bedroom. I felt like I lived in an apartment which is very hard with all we have going on. It made me remember just how thankful I am for all the room we have in here and for running water! And a washer and dryer! A fridge! Etc and so on!!

PS. Cammie, my husband is the assistant manager for Golds Gym. He basically sells over a million dollars in memberships for the Gym. The man is amazing when it comes to numbers and sales! He could sell snow to an Eskimo living in the North Pole! :) I was gonna email this to you but then I thought hey, might as well brag about my hubby!! :) He is gone a lot working but I am able to stay home so it's worth it to us. He works really hard!!

Oh the Joys and PAIN of remodeling.

Here is my gross carpet and my cute kids. Jett saw Poppy carrying a knife when Poppy and Lisa were here for Jetts birthday and ever since then Jett wants to wear a knife around his waist. So cute!

Here is the tile..we did a hopscotch pattern. I saw it in my moms neighbors house(so cute) and I decided I had to have it!

Jaiden going to town on her yogurt

Kitchen all ripped out.

Me being bored taking pics of myself. Josie, what are you doing?? I painted over this red wall though with a different red. But you get the idea. Yes I painted EVERY single wall in this house myself. Still have the Master Bedroom and bathroom left to do. And the laundry room booo!

Here is my fridge and stove in the living room..that was HARD to live like that.

Learning to go up and down the stairs before we tile them.

YAY tile laid in the living room and kitchen!! WAHOO, didn't have my kitchen for about a week. I hated it. I love to cook all three meals for my kids and husband so this was really hard for me. I despised fast food after about two days.

Theres Jim, I LOVE him! And I am pretty sure Jon has 'Man Crush' on him. He is AmAzInG! He is our tile guy but he has also turned into my handy man:) Let me explain a little, Jon can go and sell over a million dollars in Golds Gym memberships a year but he can not do a lot around the house..well Jon has impressed me during this remodel..but Jim has fixed SO many things around my house that I have needed help with. I keep begging him to move in the basement until its finished, his wife may not like that but I would. ;) Jim can do it all, he is an impressive person.

See there is my red wall with the darker color..can you tell the difference?
Well our house is coming along. We have gotten down the hall, guest bathroom and Jetts room done. This weekend we will do Jaidens room and next weekend our room and then take a vacation!! I have lots more pictures to post. I am busy with the house and kids so it may take awhile.
PS my facebook got hacked in to during this time and my computer got a bug. So I deleted my facebook and made my blog private..too scary!

My trusty helper

I forgot to mention my trusty helper Jett. He has been so helpful to me during the remodel so far, especially when dads at work. He entertains his sister(mostly entertain..sometimes entertain turns into torment), brings me a paper towel when I am up on the ladder, helps me move my sample tiles around, tells me, 'good job babe'( he must have heard that somewhere..hmm:)), every time he says it though it makes me smile and motivates me. What a SWEET little boy. Jaide has done well too, she hasn't tried to touch the paint yet! I told her it was a no no and she has listened. I am so proud of my adorable children!
Although I am extremely excited for my mom to take Jett today so I can work! He is at that age and all he wants to do is talk all the time. Its hard to have your thoughts interrupted all day but I know someday he wont wanna talk to his mom as much :( So I am trying to enjoy every minute of it!

I dont know how I did it, but I did!

Finally Jon has agreed to remodel the house a little! It all started the day he had to stay home and help me when I was sick in bed. He saw just how much cleaning up after the dogs and kids I do on the carpet...he agreed that the carpet was not working out for our family's needs. Then one night I said to him, 'we should paint our whole house before we get the new floor'. He agreed to that! Yay I am so excited. We are doing most of it our selves, having help with the tile. It is hard with two little ones but we are doing it! It may take us a while but it will also be a project that Jon and I did together. Yes he has even been staying up late to help me paint!(he gets up at 5am to go to work) We have been having fun doing this together and we are both so excited for the end result! I will post before and after pictures but it may take me awhile to get them up.
PS WHAT A DISASTROUS MESS OUR HOUSE IS...wow I was not prepared for the mess remodeling is..Stay focused on the end result Jaimie..

Bangs

Okay so I have been wanting to cut bangs for awhile and finally told my hair dresser/mom and Adrianne that I wanted to have them cut..they both said DO IT, thanks for the positive motivation ladies:)! At first I felt like an old-english sheepdog, but now I kind of like them! I think Alex's honest outside of my family opinion helped me a lot, And Jon loves them!! He said, 'I love them, you have the perfect forehead for it'...hmm okay thanks babe.:)
Thank you dear mother!! We are so appreciative that you cut and color our hair, how nice that we don't have to pay for hair cuts and color!! It can get expensive...I know from experience, yes I used to wear extensions in my hair and get it colored professionally and it was not cheap! What a waste of money that was...oh well I did learn something. :) Okay here I am with bangs.... and my comparison with the sheep dog......
....LOL I still see the resemblance.

Welcome to the Circus/zoo!

About a year and a half ago Jon decided he wanted Jett to have fish. Jon is known for buying animals and bringing them home. After he bought Josie(the third and FINAL dog we have) I told him no more animals ever again, so what does he do??...goes and buys 3 fish. The first 2 died within the first week, thank goodness! I am a big animal lover and I am sorry but, I was thrilled that they died!! So I just kept waiting for the last fish to die...I kept waiting and waiting, a year and a half later he is still swimming around all happy looking.... So we have officially named him Trooper, with a silent J of course! Jett is really good with the fish and hasn't tried to tip the water or play in it at all! I sternly told him the rules before hand and he has obeyed. This morning Jaiden saw the fish for the first time, she just kept pointing at it and saying, 'ohhhhh'. She is little ms. get into EvErYtHiNg and I am sure she will be playing in the water now that she has spotted it. :] Thankfully she has some more growing to do before I have to worry about that problem. Jon has kept his word on keeping the tank clean so it doesn't stink, so its manageable I guess(yes it took me almost two years to accept poor little Trooper with a silent J, don't worry I did feed him regularly).

Yes ladies and gentleman, 1 husband+2 kids+3 dogs+1 fish=A ZOO!! I could never get rid of my dogs because I wouldn't be able to sleep at night wondering if they were okay. However I have cleaned up more pee and throw up than person should ever have to! So Jon has finally agreed to my idea of putting tile down in the whole house! YAY!! It is going to make my life so much easier!! I will NEVER EVER miss my daily steam/carpet cleaning I have had to do. This is going to save SO much time in my day!! I can't wait!!!

PS. yes I have thought seriously about charging people when they come in our house to see the circus show we have going on here. ha ha if you have been to my house you know what I mean :) Obviously I wouldn't change anything about my mostly crazy life, there is never a dull moment at our house that's for sure!!
