Maddox's 4th Birthday Party

Maddox(Jon's sisters son) had his 4Th birthday at Fat Cats bowling this year. We had fun bowling! Thanks for having us guys!

Jon is a really good bowler and kicked all our butts! :D

Lum, Micah, Maddox, Jett and Lo eating birthday cake!

Awww what a cute little boy we have! And a good bowler to boot! Jaiden didn't bowl but she did have fun walking up to the lane :) Jon helped her push the ball down the lane one time but of course I didn't get a picture :(
Happy Birthday Maddox, hope you had a good one!

Hogle Zoo

Riding the 'kids wheel', that's what Jett calls the Carousal

Eating our lunch, soaking up that Vitamin D!
(A camera timer picture Alex :))

The Tigers were out and roaring, what a cool noise they make.

That tiger is HUGE, I really can't imagine running into one in the wild. It is an amazing creature, I don't know why but I could watch it all day.

It was a little cold when we first arrived. The baby elephant and her mama was out. SO CUTE!

The male peacock with his feathers out! Beautiful bird!

Riding the train. I have gone to Hogle Zoo many times and never rode the train, I told Jon I really wanted to ride it this time. It showed a side of the Zoo I didn't know existed.
We all had a lot of fun! We ♥ our Sundays with Jon home and wish he was home more.

Sunday Picnic!

This past Sunday was SO nice and Jett has been wanting to have a picnic. So Jon Said, "lets all ride bikes down to Olympic park." So I made a lunch and we packed up the bike trailer. I pulled Jaiden and Journey behind me, Jett rode his bike and Jon walked with Josie and Jynx. Well Journey didn't last too long in the trailer, she somehow got out. So Jon ended up walking the little dogs and I rode my bike with Josie out front. It was fun!
Well we couldn't get to Olympic park because the trail is closed in one section while they build the new road. So we just went to the park behind our house :) It was so nice to sit in the sunshine!

Jaiden and Journey are buddies! Journey has a bad hip so I thought she would like to sit in the trailer, she did for about 5 minutes! I thought that was pretty long.

Prayers

After Jon gets the kids in the bath(yes Jon bathes the kids every night:)) we all gather in Jetts or Jaides room, depending on whose turn it is to pick a book, for a story and prayers. Jett calls them peers, I love how he says it! Last night Jon was helping Jett say his prayers and it is one of the cutest things to listen to a 4 year old say a prayer. Here is how the part I want to share went,

Jon: Thank you for watching (then he waits for Jett to repeat what he said)
Jett: Movies!
Jon: over us.

Jett is most definitely the Sweetest boy I know! I strive everyday to be as loving and sweet as him, he brings out the best in us! I am so blessed to be his mom.

How much extra time/work do the dogs add to my day?

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion." --Unknown

May I just inform you how much extra work/time 3 dogs add to my day?Yes I know I agreed to these dogs(kind of), I have a soft side for animals..I don't know what that is all about. Jon also learned that if he brought an animal home I wouldn't be able to turn it away. Jons mom knows what I am talking about, she has two birds that Jon brought home. :D We have both told him to STOP it! You gotta love the guy!

My dogs add so much extra time to my day..we ♥ them so much and they are part of our family. So to stay on top of everything I get up at around 7 am everyday, let the dogs out, let them back in and give a piece of a 'Beggin Strip' for their done business. Then throughout the morning keep an EAGLE eye on them to be sure they don't need out before lunch, if they do let them out and repeat the treat process. If we have to be out of the house before lunch, I have to make sure the dogs go out one time before I have to run them downstairs and lock Journ and Jynx(the Chihuahuas) in their cage, they have proved time and time again that they can't be trusted when I am not home. Josie(the lab/border collie), I leave upstairs for protection and she is very smart! She knows her job in our home, guard the kids!! But she is very sweet dog too and did I mention smart??. She sleeps with Jett every night which I love because his room faces the street and I have always had an issue with that. Let me put it this way, if anyone tried to enter our home uninvited they wouldn't go unheard. Jon told me yesterday that home invasions are higher than ever in Utah, good luck if you enter my house and Josie doesn't know you. Then when we get home from our ventures of the day I get the kids situated, run downstairs let the dogs out and give a treat. Then keep an eye on them until afternoon snack let them out after I make a snack, let them back in and give a treat. I am sure you get the picture...it's basically like I have 5 kids but can leave 3 of them home when we leave....thank goodness! I also try to make time to play with the dogs each day and talk to them, they are smart they know what I am saying!

Some good news....the dogs have only had two accidents on the tile!! YAY! It's not warm like the carpet so they wont pee on it, I think we solved that MESSY problem. And of course it just wiped right up so nicely. The other day I was thinking what it would be like to not have any dogs....well nothing lives forever.... but for now this is our life and I am happy to give some animals a good home. Plus the kids really enjoy them and so do Jon and I. :)

Pictures

Here's some pictures of whats been going on around here. I also found my camera that I ♥ SO much! Lisa gave it to me for Christmas '08. It is the second digital camera I have ever had! I say its my first because its my FAVORITE! :) I thought Jaide had got to it and thrown it in the garbage(she has done this with many things keys, wallets, anything of value). But when we moved our furniture around I found it in the lazy boy chair..YAY me!

Such little dolls! I love them so much!

Journey got a bowl stuck on her bottom, I am aware all my dogs have been over fed..what can I say I like to feed people and animals!

There is Jim laying the last piece of tile! Wahoo, and Congrats to all my blog followers as I am almost done blogging about tile :) Thanks for all your nice comments about our house, it's been a rough month to get through and all of your nice comments, texts and BBMs helped so much! :)

Look at these hard workers!

Can not wait to have our bedroom back, and our house back for that matter!

Here's my HOT husband working his butt off! He works about 65-70 hours a week, then he would come home and work on the house. The poor guy is BEAT!! And my poor car had to park outside for a month :( that was sad! I know cars don't have feelings but I have enough feelings to share with it! ;)

Mini me doing laundry. She likes to do mom type stuff with me. It's so fun for me to have a little girl! Every where we go I get told she has a beautiful smile :D She has the drama to match the smile but it's okay, keeps me on my toes all day long!

Jetter hanging out. He is such a good boy! We had to move our bed into the living room for four nights when we tiled our bedroom. haha it was kinda fun, but it got OLD FAST!

master closet all ripped out

Tiling is such a process!! We have definitely learned a lot!

Master bed and bath. Jon wanted a RELAXING color in our room. So I went with 'Gumleaf'. Paint names make me giggle. **if you can't decide on a paint color, go to KWALS in Orem and talk to Galieo. He choose all my colors for me . All I did was take my tile in there, told him what way my windows face(to be sure it didn't go pinkish or yellow) and told him the colors I was wanting and he said okay this is what you need..it was great! If it weren't for him I would still be sitting at Kwals trying to decide the colors I wanted.

I had to post this picture..theres the pac-n-play, see how close it is to Jetts dresser! Jaide cracks me up! The little girl has SO much personality!!! She definitely gets that from her darling daddy.

Hide and SNEAK!

Jett loves playing hide and seek lately! He likes to play it with me and he likes to hide his pet mouse coco from me(not a real mouse mind you..NO more pets:)). He calls it hide and sneak and when he finds me he says I sneak you mom! Here's how our typical hide and 'sneak' game goes. I count to ten and tell Jett to go hide. When I am done counting, out loud, Jett starts to laugh so hard. I remind him not to laugh when I am trying to find him, he cant control his laugh though. Then when its my turn to hide I have Jett count to 20, now you would think I could hide pretty well, NOPE! I have a train of dogs and a princess following close behind revealing my hiding spot..oh well we have fun!

We love our Blankets! And Jaidens room

Our kids are such blanket kids! They love their blankets, especially the ones nani made for them!

Jaidens Room! So cute, she still only wants to play in brothers room, its just so much more fun to torment him by moving his perfectly lined up toys out of place..fun for her not for me.
