5 years of Marriage!

Well today, April 30Th 2010, marks our 5 year wedding anniversary! Time goes by WAY too fast! I can't believe it has already been 5 years! Five years ago today the weather was much different than it is today(thank goodness, I wouldn't have been to happy to wake up to snow on my wedding day). Two kids, 3 dogs and one fish later here we are still happy and working at it everyday! I love you Jon very much! Happy Anniversary Babe!

7 years ago from Saturday....

Jon and I went on our very first date! Which is also my birthday, makes it easy to remember ;) Jon had vacation last Thursday-Sunday! It was so nice to have him home. Thursday we went to Thanksgiving Points Farm Place. Friday we went to Boondocks fun center and lunch. Then Saturday morning(my birthday, our seven year anniversary date) we dropped the kids off at my moms and headed to Lava hotsprings to relax and then to The Black Swan Inn, in Pocatello Idaho to stay the night! It was such a great 4 day weekend!


The kids got me some good shoes for my birthday.. I love them!

Jon got me a digital picture frame and more flowers! Wow I got so spoiled this year...Jon and I usually don't get each other anything for our birthdays...he kinda broke that rule :) I felt very spoiled!

Here's my batman cupcake..I bet ya can't guess who picked it out?? I am now 26..on the downhill slope to 30 :) Yay I guess.

Lava Hot Springs..

I laid on those rocks the entire time, they were so warm from the sun! Ahhh it was so relaxing!

Here's our room. The Inn has theme rooms and Jon chose the "Mayan Forest" room. It was really cool!!

There was even a waterfall with fish in it in our room!

We had SO much fun!! It was definitely just what Jon and I needed! That remodel was really hard on us and some other life issues came to surface . We needed a get away so bad! Thank you mom and Kandis for watching our kids and dogs, I know its a lot of work but it was so helpful!!!

And thanks for ALL the birthday wishes, texts, emails, phone calls and gifts!! I felt so loved and special, it meant a lot to me!! :)

KaRaTe

Jett has been in Karate for about three months now and he absolutely loves it! I was hesitant to put him in just because I didn't know a lot about Karate and it was on Thursday evenings, I like us all to be home for dinner. But it has worked out well and Jon meets us at Karate after work and then we go to Ihop for dinner after. So we have made kinda a family date out of it! And you gotta love Ihop..kids eat FREE(with a purchase of an adult entree)!!

Jett has earned his white belt in Karate with good behavior, improvement and grappling. He has a huge smile on his face the entire hour he is there!

Our weekend

Picture of the baseboards! And Jaiden is doing really well with no bottle. The first two day she was sad and thought I was mean but she is over it now and back to normal..WAHOO!

Saturday we had Adriannes baby shower! We had it at her house, it was fun! I am excited to have another nephew.
This is the diaper cake I made for her..I was proud of it so I am posting it :)


Her cousins(I think) also made her one. We had chicken salad sandwiches, fruit and chocolate eclairs. Played a game and she opened her presents! Mostly diapers :)




Natalie made the favors and the invites! She did a great job..she is so talented!

On Sunday we went out for a little exercise, Jon rode my bike and pulled the kids. I roller bladed with Josie. It was so much fun!! I forgot just how much I like to Rollerblade. My dad used to take us all the time around the greenbelt in Idaho Falls, Idaho, I loved it!!

We made it to Olympic Park and let the kids play on the slides! This park is so much fun, I love having it so close to our house.
Jett likes to raise down the slides, he always wins and then says, "I tricked you mom." haha

The baseboard are FINALLY on and Jaiden is FINALLY off the bottle!! Woot woot!

Good Friends!

It is so hard to find good, true, trustworthy friends who would never stab you in the back no matter what!! Mine both happen to live in a different state and I miss them very much and wish they lived closer! To this day I am so extremely amazed at how scandalous and deceiving people can be..I was raised SO well. My mom taught us to never lie, cheat, steal and actually have a conscious about the way we treat others... She always said, "treat people how you want to be treated." and I did. The world can be so mean and I just wanted to do a post about how thankful I am for Alex and Lindsay. Yes they don't live here and we only communicate through the phone and the Internet...but I know I can tell them anything and they will not judge me or gossip about me or treat me bad. I also know that someday these girls will move back to Utah.. LOL you better anyways girls!! And also Aisha I don't know you very well but I am always amazed at your will to never gossip about others..we need to hang out more :) Plus I believe we may be put through some of the same things with our hubbys working at the same place. Anyways here is my vent for the night..ahhhh I feel better already.
PS I am going to do an Easter post someday! We had a great Easter weekend and feel very loved! Dad and Lisa came down and gave the kids some adorable things! Jett loves his poppy and looks up to him so much and I enjoy talking to Lisa! Nani gave the kids some way cute thing that they loved and my mom watched the kids while Josh, Natalie, Jon and I went on a day date to some hot springs. Then my mom made us all a delicious ham dinner! Thank you all we love you dearly! I also watched conference, as I usually do and thought it was one of their most interesting. Hopefully my home teacher will bring me her Ensign again so I can reread them....if not I imagine I can get one somewhere??

Flowers?!! ♥

So this morning Jett, Jaide and I were just hanging out, cleaning and waiting for Poppy and Lisa to get here from Idaho so we could go swimming and see them. I here a knock at the door, I'm thinking to myself who is this? Not to many people come to our house without calling first and last time the knock at the door was the Jehovah's witness church group. I was thinking it was either them again or a solicitor of some sort and had no intentions to answer the door(its hard to answer the door because the dogs run out and then I am chasing 3 dogs with the two kids and its just not fun so most people know to call before they come first, then I have time to prepare the zoo). But I decided I better check who it was out the peep hole just in case and I see a guy standing there with flowers..of course I went and threw the dogs in one room and ran and opened the door. He said, "are you Jaimie Howard?". I just stood there in shock and he said, "these are for you" waiting for me to take them...I couldn't believe it but my hubby had sent me flowers! And a really sweet card as well, it made my whole day!!!
