R.I.P little buddy

Yesterday on my way back to pick up Jett from school I was driving along 7200 West thinking how nice it was that Jaide fell asleep in the car, Jetts at school and I have some extra time to stop by Kneaders and get myself a little treat that I don't have to share with anyone! 7200 West is a road in Lehi/Highland that basically makes a HUGE dip, it kinda just drops off real steep and then you go up real steep. As I was heading up the dip I see a squirrel dragging itself across the road with its front two legs. I think to myself please oh please let the squirrel make it to the other side of the road. I look in my side mirror to check and he made it. I get to the top of the hill and turn into Kneaders. I of course can not stop thinking about the poor helpless animal I just saw holding onto its life. I think but what can I do for it? Would I take it to the vet? Would I take it home and nurse it back to health? Do I need to run into Smiths Marketplace and get some gloves and a cage? I decide to just turn around and go check on the squirrel, heading back down the steep hill I look for a place to pull over. Not a good idea. I find a place, hop out of my car and walk until I see the poor thing laying on the side of the road. By then I am full blown bawling for the squirrel. Just laying there struggling to breath, by now I am thinking please God let him die, please put him out of his misery. I look the squirrel in the eye and he/she looks me in the eye. I say to him, "you have to let go little buddy, your not gonna be okay otherwise." The squirrel stretched out his arm layed his head down and died. I was pretty relieved. I look up and a Lehi Police officer is watching my every move. He asks me if I am ok... UM HELLO do I look okay? I didn't say that, I just told him what happened and he told me he felt bad and things happen in life that we can't control. He is right. I don't know why I have such a big, soft heart when it comes to animals but I do...some may think it's strange but I don't care. Two people did stop and ask if I needed help before the cop came, an elderly lady and a Hispanic man. That was nice. I ended up getting back to Learning Dynamics just in time to pick up Jett, the poor kid, he asked me "mom why have you been crying?" I didn't have the heart to tell him about it, just didn't feel right
I truly am glad this little guy died, like my husband said, he is in heaven snacking on unlimited cashews. haha :) I hope he is resting in peace...

Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus

Last Wednesday Jon told me he could get third row seats to the Circus for a good price for the next night (Thursday night). I was excited because we have gone to the Circus every year since I was pregnant with Jett in 2005(ha ha remember that Aisha?) So we of course went and it was so much fun!! Jett was so excited to go, he is at such a great age for all this stuff! We were really close so Jaiden could see all the animals... she was GLUED to the show..she loved it! It was really fun to watch the excitement in both the kids eyes, loved it!

Awww family photo opt..nice eyes Jett & Jon.

This was my favorite! The trampolines...I SO want to do this!!(mind you I am obsessed with tramps, Josh and I used to jump on the tramp for HOURS every day)

This elephant was carrying a dog in a basket in his mouth, too cute!

One of the elephants had a baby, it was SO darn cute. It still had hair on its skin.

Jon loves the elephants(I have no clue why). He missed the elephants the first year we went to the circus, the year I was pregnant, he was getting me food. I will never live that one down...

The motorcycle cage. Really amazing!! Jett's favorite part by far.

Jaiden was SO cute, she clapped the whole time.

Jaiden and I taking pictures waiting for those boys, those darn lines in the men's room...must be long!
Hands down BEST Circus I have been to.

Childrens Discovery Garden at Thanksgiving Point

We made a trip to the Children's Garden at Thanksgiving Point, I have never been there myself but Jon has taken Jett one time. Let me tell you I was quite impressed with the place, the only regrets I had were wishing I would've had the kids swimsuits and a little more time to play! But we had a ball anyways, I am hoping to make it back again before this beautiful weather comes to an end.

The Noah's Ark boat. The water is ice cold but it was super hot the day we went so it felt great!

The little lighthouse, so cute and so much fun!

The wooden blocks. Jett loves building stuff, such concentration!

The "Digging Area", a huge sandbox.

They also had these water splashers that came on randomly, so fun.

All in all I give the place a good review! A really good/fun place for little kids!

Swimming Lessons

Jett started swimming lessons this week! He is so good at it, he LOVES the water!! He has already picked up on swimming without floaties after two days. I am so proud of him!

More Camping, in pictures....

King fisherman Jett.
