My little rockstar!

If you know me you know that I am obsessed with instruments and music!! Knowing how to play any instrument is amazing to me! One of my life goals is to be able to play something well:) I love music!! I've had a Casio keyboard in the basement for awhile and Jett will go downstairs and play it. I love when I hear him composing from the basement..haha! So I decided to bring the keyboard upstairs so I could experience the facial expressions and actions as he is playing..the facial expressions play a huge part in the song you know.:) I have enjoyed watching him all day and thought I would share my joy with you all! The video is kinds long but the ending is the best!!!

Jaide's Six month Checkup

I cannot believe how fast time goes by when you are watching your children grow up. It kinda makes me sad:( They will both be so old soon. Jaiden is already six months old, Jett and I took her to her six month check up today. Jett loves taking her to the doctor with me because he doesn't have to get shots..he is big like uncle Josh, but his baby sister has to get them, this is what he tells the doctor. I think he loves the fact that he can just watch and not have to go through the pain..he had his turn when he was a baby:) He feels bad for her every time she cries and he tries to comfort her, which usually works better than me trying to comfort her. It is so sweet to watch him try to make her feel better. Jaide is doing very well!! It has been interesting to see the difference between our children. Jett was always off the charts in his height, weight and head circumference. Jaiden has always had lower numbers..its very interesting how different they can be. She is 27 inches long which is the 75th percentile. She weighs 16lbs 6oz which is the 55th percentile and her head circumference is 43cm which is the 70th percentile. So she is tall and skinny, lucky girl:)

She of course didn't wear her tutu to the doctor but she would if she could. She is all girl!! She loves that tutu. I am surprised because to me it looks uncomfortable. I guess she likes to dress up..haha she is so cute:) When I was done taking a million pics of her in this outfit, I took it off and she started bawling..I truly think she wanted to keep it on. She is 100% girl that is for sure! I am so thankful that both our children are healthy and happy. I am so blessed in so many ways!!! I am thankful for my many blessings and for the opportunity to be a mom to such great kids!!

Swimming!!

We are so fortunate to a have a community pool in our neighborhood! I love that I can look out my back window and see if the pool is crowded or not:) I think one of the reasons that Jett loves the water and is such a great swimmer is because we have had this pool in our backyard since Jett was six months old. This year we have been going pretty much every night. The rain has been a great thing for us, it scares people off and we have been the only ones at the pool! It is so nice:) It wears the kids out and they sleep great..that is my favorite part! Haha!! We have a lot of fun swimming and it's so fun to watch how much Jett has learned!! He is amazing to me, he can swim across the entire pool and back, with his floaties of course. Pretty good for a three year old who has not had any lessons!! This year he has even started back floating, I have no clue where he learned that one..like I said this kid is amazing!!:) He is growing up way too fast!!













Jaiden loves swim time too!! She can get in a quick nap in before bedtime!! Lucky girl:) She is so good and so cute! We got the exact two kids we wanted!! We couldn't ask for more!

Snack time!!

Swimming is hard work! It makes ya hungry! I always have dinner in the oven for when we get home but the boys have to have a snack!! Thanks Holley for all the graham crackers. Jon will be mad that I put this pic up but it made me laugh.

I cannot believe my husband is 30!!

When you first fall in love, you just think it is gonna stay like that forever. I cannot believe that Jon is 30. We started dating when he was 24. It is so crazy how fast time flies by!!! We had a lot of fun on Jon's birthday, we decided to drive to Wendover for the day because Jon gets off work at noon on Fridays..and his birthday was on a Friday this year. So it worked out perfect. My mom watched our kids and it was so nice to have some time together without the kids:) For me the best part was the driving in the car without the kids. You take that for granted when you don't have children, we love our kids but it was sure nice to have peace and quite!! We really missed the kids and I was so glad we didn't stay the night!! We celebrated Jon's birthday with the kids and his mom Thursday night because we knew we would be gone all day Friday. I hope you had a Great Birthday babe, I love you!!




Jon has wanted a beer hat for so long!! So I finally gave in a got him one..well two because I knew Jett would want to have one too. All I have to say is oh my....

Here we are in Wendover..Jon won forty bucks. That was about it! We are not huge gamblers.

Jon's birthday celebration with the kids! It was fun, Jett and Maddox play so well together!! They were both out in the mud while I was getting the cake ready, they had to get in the bath before they could eat cake!! Of course there clothes were wet and muddy so we put them in a dry t-shirt after their bath. They saw they cake and forgot all about going outside to get muddy again!!

Family Pictures!!

We have been needing to update our family pictures because our newest addition Jaiden is not in any of them and every time I look at the pictures I feel bad!! I have got to see my little girl in them too!! So when my sister in law and good friend Adrianne got a new cannon camera I was really excited!! I don't like going and getting the pictures done professionally because I feel like the photographer doesn't know you so the pictures aren't really you..crazy I know!! So it was really fun to have her do them because we could be ourselves and Adrianne did an amazing job!! We took them at The Gardens at Thanksgiving Point, it's so beautiful there. The calendar said it was June 9Th but we were freezing!! It was so cold, Jett and Jaiden did really well for how cold it was. Thank you so much for taking the pictures Adrianne, we owe you big time!! I am so thankful you are in our family and that you have been such a great friend to me!!

Jett's first haircut and grandma's whipping cream!!

Jett didn't have his first trim until he was one and a half years old and since then he has had nothing more than just a trim. The reason is because I realized that Jett has great hair!! The hair I always wanted..Grandma Jensen hair according to my mom which translates to great hair!!:) So I finally broke down and decided it was time for an actual "cut". Jon has been asking for this day for quite a while. Jon has wanted to bic it, I was against the bic but okay with some hair left for me to admire!! So after some time..we agreed on the cut that he has and it turns out I love it!! Yes he looks like he is six years old, which breaks my heart, but it is so cute on him and less work for me!! Thank you mom for cutting it!!! He looks so cute and I'm sure it feels good to him:)

Thanksgiving Point

We have lived near Thanksgiving Point for the last three years and last month we broke down and bought a family pass. We have already gone enough times to pay for our pass so I think it was worth it! Jett likes to go to the farm place and the dinosaur museum. We also have gone to the Gardens a few times. I love it there, it's so pretty!! I had no idea all that stuff was over there. I highly recommend going to the Gardens if you haven't ever been. Also if you need a place to take some pictures it's a great place!! You can take a camera in there and bring in a lunch if you wanna stay awhile, anyways here are some pics of what we have been doing over there:)

Amazing!!

Both of my kids went to bed at nine last night and Jaiden slept until nine this morning and Jett is still asleep!! Yay!! I had to blog about that cuz it's amazing....all the moms will understand:)

Jett's four-wheeler

So last Sunday I was so sick I couldn't even get out of bed. Jon, being the wonderful guy that he is, took the kids to Costco. When he got home I was up and could tell by the look on his face that he bought something big. He looked at me and said, but I bought it for my birthday. I was thinking what in the world is it..he very rarely buys stuff for himself..well it was for Jett and it was a four wheeler! Last night we were out enjoying the night, Adam and Heidi came over with their girls, who are 5 and 8, they both rode the four wheeler and the youngest girl, Jessica rolled it. I was freaking out but she hopped back on and rolled it again about five minutes later. So after that I decided that Jett needed a helmet before he could ride it again. Thank goodness Jessica is fine and her parents are cool!! Jon went and bought Jett a helmet and today was the first day I have seen him ride it, well besides the day my mom came over and he almost ran into my car. He is actually pretty good at it for a 3 year old!! I guess practice makes perfect..I hope:)
