Camp Spot

Ever since I took Jon up to The Ranch for his first time, over 7 years ago, he has always wanted his own camp spot up there. His wish came true and we are now members and have our own camp spot to park the camper all summer! It's gonna be so nice to just leave what we need up there and only have to worry about bringing food and some clothes. Last weekend we went up and stayed at our spot for the first time! It was a lot of fun! We missed Grandma C. and Grandpa Max but we also had the whole mountain pretty much to ourselves!! Grandmas camp spot is close to ours, Jett and I counted about 60 steps to make it to Grandmas.

Saturday night was so HOT we didn't need a fire or anything, barley needed a jacket.

Jett slept on the top bunk bed in the camper for the FIRST time! Every single move he made I was awake and paranoid like no other that he was falling off, but he didn't! And he thought he was pretty dang cool to be able to sleep up there! He loved it.

Jon got the camera out a little too early..

Look at these patient kids, waiting so nicely for their lunch.

Camping just wears the dogs(and the kids for that matter) RIGHT OUT!! Especially after we made Josie run a good ten miles behind us on the four wheeler..haha she loves it. We ran into a huge herd of sheep on our four wheeler venture, the kids and Josie thought they had died and gone to heaven!! The kids couldn't believe all the sheep, and Josie is a sheepdog(border collie/lab mix) so we got to see that side of her..maybe its in a border collies blood, I don't know, but she was just a herding those sheep! I of course opted to leave the camera on the picnic table back at camp:(. I would love to have the sheep experience on video. Maybe next time.

Hanging out. Oh look at those nice camp chairs being put to use! They are super nice chairs!

It was a pretty successful trip. Only two wood ticks(of course both on me), three major meltdowns(of course none by me ha:)), and a couple leg scrapes(all on Jett, he had to pick up every stick around) otherwise just fun!!
We are looking forward to many more fun times camping this season! Can't wait! It is fun to be able to take my kids to a place that I went when I was a kid and teach them about the animals and open land, now if only I still lived in Idaho so they could get the full effect haha JK. It is a pretty awesome place to go!!

The kids are so cute. Im sure Jett thought he was the biggest kid ever. So fun! Too bad you didnt have your camera for the sheep. Oh well, it will be a great memory in your mind forever now!
