Trip to Poppy and Lisa's House!!

We finally made the trip up to my dad(Jett calls him poppy) and Lisa's house! I was a little nervous because Jon had to stay and work so I was alone with the kids in the car, but they did really good for the most part! We had a lot of fun, Jett is pretty much obsessed with poppy. It was nice to have a break from cooking and cleaning as well. Haha dad and Lisa just let me take a break, it was great:) The first night we got there we went to an Elk farm, Lisa's friend was nice enough to let us come pet the elk. Jett really enjoyed it! Jett has been dying to go fishing, don't ask me where he got this idea??? It is in his blood I guess. So of course I wanted the best fisherman I know to be the one to take him. So the next morning we went to a little park area in Rexburg and Jett caught 3 fish, I even caught one. It was a lot of fun. Thanks for the fishing pole Max.:) On our way home from fishing we stopped at bear world. Jett loved that as well, it was a lot of fun to see the bears and the albino elk..weird!! We also just hung out, rode bikes and trikes, played whiffle ball, and laughed!! It was really nice to go up and visit my dad and Lisa, thanks again for letting us come up, we had so much fun and Jett is still talking about it as I am typing. Haha!! I really love Idaho and forgot just how much I love and miss it! I wanna move back up there...soon!!!!! It is a great place to be!

Jetts a slugger, he broke the whiffle ball in half a couple times! I got video of it but I couldn't get it to download.

The baby bears at Bear World, sooooo cute!!!

Jaiden just chilling, this is what she did most the time...and slept a little:)

Jett's goldfish he caught, the first fish he caught was a perch and they can poke ya I guess so he couldn't hold that one, but he was thrilled that he got to hold this one. He caught these fish all by himself..with a little help from grandpa. I was impressed!!!

The Perch

Lisa and Jett feeding the ducks. I love Lisa, I think she is awesome!! And she is hilarious, I was dying, she makes me laugh!! I am glad my dad has her:)

This is the elk farm, they have a whole bunch, not sure how many. They were kinda skinny looking elk I thought. Maybe just because they are domesticated...who knows. It was cool to see them up close like this though!!

The bulls

The cows and their babies. I think this was the first time I have ever seen a baby elk. I didn't know they had spots on them like baby deer...so cute!!!

Jett and poppy riding bikes, and trikes:)

Practicing fishing..haha Jett was getting tired.

Thank you Jett, Jaiden and Jaimie for coming up. We had a wonderful time also. We can't wait until you come again. I think Jett is going to give grandpa a run for his money on the fishing. He just might be the 4th greatest fisherman in the state of Utah. We don't know who the first three are but Jett is right up there.

I have no idea why, but this is the hundredth time I have tried to post a comment to this post and for some reason it won't let me. Maybe it will this time;)
First, I have to say how brave you are to make that trip with your kids and without your hubby! It looks like it was worth it though. Bear world sounds so cool! I would love to go somewhere like that.
I've never met your dad, but he sure seems like a really GREAT grandpa and dad.
I would love to get together sometime! That would be way fun:)

P.S. I love your little stick family at the bottom of your blog... so cute!

Seriously? Were you really just in Idaho this last week?!!! So was I! I kept thinking, I should have asked Jaimie when she is coming to visit her dad again. I totally failed on that one. We were all there the 18th-26th. When were you there?
It was cool to see (and hear) your dad. Brings back some good memories.
My mom showed me a wedding invitation and made me guess who it was. I recognized the eyes of the guy, but that was it. I couldn't believe it when she told me it was JOSH! I guess she has been saving it so I could see for myself how big he is. He probably hates hearing this, but seriously, he is not the little boy I remember tagging along. I have lots of memories of him hanging out with us: on your swing set, jumping off the deck onto the trampoline, eating mac and cheese with pepper on it, and playing with hot wheels on your car mat, among other things. Weird.
Well, sorry I missed you in Idaho. Next year, maybe?

Oh, that looks like so much fun. Who even knew that my mom knows someone with an elk farm?! The weird facts you learn about your parents...! I am glad you had a good time though, I know they loved having you. Sorry I didn't get the comment about the pack and play until it was too late! I hope it all worked out okay though!
